When I look in game, the legs are still there, and I want to find some way to remove them.Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts Log in sign up User account menu 46 How to make your own texture pack in 1.4.
You will need a tool to unpack xnb files so you can edit them as.png.jpg. I use Tconvert to unpack the files. Youll also need something to edit image files and sound files, paint.net and audacity are some free options. Start by making a folder somewhere else name it whatever you want but I will call it FolderA, put a folder called Content and inside that folder then put three more called Sounds, Images, Fonts. To extract the textures you need right click on Terraria in steam and go to properties local files browse local files, next click on the Content folder, copy what files you want and put them into the corresponding folder. Use Tconvert or another xnb unpacker and edit the files how you want them, make sure you keep the original size of the image otherwise the texture will not work. If youre editing sounds you MUST convert them back to.xnb files or they wont work. Items are sorted by ID and you can find the ID by looking up the item on the Wiki. In folderA make a txt document, rename it to pack and change the.txt to.json, Open it with a notepad program and copy paste this down. If you want to add an icon to your pack all you need is a image, edit your image how you want it then rename the a image to icon.png and place it in folderA. Continue this thread level 1 2 points 4 months ago Thanks, dude level 1 2 points 4 months ago yessss thank you, love having the option to do things like this especially coming from minecraft where ive tweaked a lot of the textures to my liking and can now do the same for terraria:) level 1 2 points 3 months ago Uhh, how do you unpack the files with tconvert. Could you tell me (or provide a link) as to where the sprites used in the animation of the cloak (and other items) are keptlabelled as Thanks again level 2 2 points 2 months ago It looks like the mysterious cape is AccBack4, It should be in Content Images. The wiki doesnt always tell you the internal name so you sometimes have to look for it. Hope this helps. Continue this thread level 1 2 points 2 months ago edited 2 months ago Hey there, Im trying to change what gravestones look like. Ive edited the item, the projectile, and the tile for them, and it changes what they look like when placed, but not when thrown or in inventory. Take for example, Item1173, which seems to go with Projectile201 and Tiles85. Any idea what I may be doing wrong Thanks Edit: Ive figured it out. I had mis-sized the images based on the first gravestone, which is actually a different size than the others and caused them not to load. What Im retexturing is the Bunny Cage, in case that has anything to do with it. It stays as the Bunny Cage when I activate the pack, is there something possibly wrong level 2 1 point 2 months ago The bunny cage has multiple different Sprites for each frame of animation, make sure to edit them all.
